Crawford has outlined three primary areas of focus: public safety, education and economic development.

Public Safety
With his experience in public safety at his core, Crawford knows first-hand how important safe neighborhoods are to the cornerstone of a community’s growth and prosperity. He is committed to helping public safety and first responder agencies have the tools and resources they need to decrease response times, reduce crime rates and enhance communications with citizens.

“It is important that our first responders have the staffing and resources they need to serve our citizens, said Dr. Crawford. “When there is an emergency and our citizens call for assistance, it is critical that first responders be able to answer efficiently and timely.”

Education
“We must do better job in ensuring that our children receive an outstanding education, which begins at the primary level and continues through higher education, continued Crawford. “Our children are our future and it is incumbent upon each of us to make sure our schools have the resources needed to help students be successful. Education is one of my passions and I am committed to working collaboratively with the education system to make sure we are serving the students, parents and residents of Chandler. Additionally, we need to focus on preparing our children for the jobs of the 21st century. It is an ever-changing workforce that they will be entering into one day.”

Economic Development
Recently, WalletHub named Chandler the “Best City to Find a Job.” WalletHub’s ranking was based upon more than 20 indicators including job opportunities, employment growth and monthly average starting salary. “We want to continue to be the place for employers and employees to thrive by providing a strong employment base that supports economic and business development,” said Crawford.
