The Go Red for Women Ambassador and the American Heart Association is teaming up again to present the 8th Annual Red Dress Cocktail Party. This year’s party will take place in the beautiful and educational Halle Heart Museum, located at 2929 S. 48th Street in Tempe on Wednesday, April 6, from 6-8 p.m.
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the cause of one in three deaths each year. That equates to approximately one woman every minute!
The Red Dress Cocktail Party is a grassroots fundraising event that has been raising awareness about heart disease and its impact. Throughout the years, it has grown to be a highly anticipated evening that combines food, fashion and fun. The event features heart disease survivors and provides information that empowers women to live a “heart healthier.”
We are pleased to announce that award-winning journalist and ABC15 news anchor Steve Irvin is returning as the Master of Ceremonies for the event. This year’s Red Dress Cocktail Party will take place on Wednesday, April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Halle Heart Museum.
While heart disease is the primary killer of women, only one in five American women believe heart disease is a health threat. According to the American Heart Association, 90% percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease. Studies show that healthy choices has saved lives and resulted in 330 fewer deaths each day. The purpose of this event is to reach more women and save more lives.
