What: Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch to Receive National Black Prosecutors Association
(NBPA) President’s Award of Excellence

When: Wednesday, July 22, Noon to 2 p.m.

Where: Colonnade Room, Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, 2401 M Street NW

Timeline: The Attorney General will make remarks from 1-1:15 p.m.

Press in attendance must load/unload and enter through the loading dock area and check in with the security team.  This area is just past the hotel main entrance between Fairmont and the World Wildlife Building. You will need a valid ID and will have to wear/display their contractor badge while on property, which will be given at the security desk.  

A multbox will be available for audio assistance. A press riser will be located in the room. The riser will be 43 feet from the dais. In between the dais and the riser will be luncheon attendees. Please note that the Colonnade Room is a room full of windows and natural lighting.

At 1 p.m., NBPA President Melba Pearson will present the President’s Award to the Attorney General. Following the presentation, the Attorney General will deliver the keynote address.

The National Black Prosecutors Association is the only professional membership organization dedicated to the advancement of Blacks as prosecutors. Founded in 1983, the Association’s membership is comprised of both chief and line prosecutors nationwide. In addition to prosecutors, the association’s membership includes law students, former prosecutors and law enforcement personnel.
