The Change Agencies is first-of-its-kind national collective to offer inclusive marketing communications

PHOENIX (June 13, 2019) – Chandler-based Mahogany Xan Communications is one of six independent, specialized public relations and marketing firms launching The Change Agencies today. The Change Agencies is the PR industry’s first national collective of firms to offer inclusive communications services to effectively represent, engage and connect with African American, Asian American, Latinx and LGBTQ communities.

The Change Agencies Principals

The Change Agencies will help companies and organizations effectively prepare, address and deliver strategic and culturally-appropriate communication solutions, ensuring the outreach is sensitive and meaningful. Among the services available are consumer marketing, public affairs and policy communications, issues management, community relations, influencer outreach, target market research, crisis communications, and message development. The signature offering of The Change Agencies is The CHANGE Audit, a 360-degree, discovery process designed to analyze, evaluate and implement appropriate communications throughout an organization.

“The economic power of diverse communities will continue to increase in the coming years,” said LaTricia Woods, founder and president of Mahogany Xan Communications. “That power has a voice and that voice is screaming to be heard, acknowledged and understood by mainstream society. Companies should understand that creating authentic relationships with diverse communities is a 24/7, 365 mission.”

“The Change Agencies wants to work with companies that are finding it difficult to create diverse workforces or to communicate authentically with their target markets. By working with The Change Agencies, they will work in concert with a group of dedicated professionals to create viable solutions that meet not only their diversity and inclusion objectives, but their business objectives as well.”

Each co-founder of The Change Agencies is an expert in the field of multicultural/ inclusive communications, specializing in either African-American, Asian-American, Latinx or LGBTQ. Combined, they offer more than 100 years of experience. They are: Chino Chapa, founder of Chino Chapa Communications in Dallas; Tanya Churchmuch, president of MuchPR in New York; Ben Finzel, president of RENEWPR in Washington, D.C.; LaTricia Woods, founder of Mahogany Xan Communications in Phoenix; and, Christina Yumul, founder and president of Storieology Communications in Maui, Hawaii and San Francisco.
