Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council (PSWMSDC) is proud to announce that the 2019 Procurement Conference speaker lineup will feature C-Level executives from Arizona State University, the Institute for Supply Management and General Dynamics. The Annual Procurement Conference and Supplier Excellence Awards Gala will be held at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino May 1-2, 2019.
PSWMSDC, an affiliate of the national MSDC, grows minority business enterprises (MBEs) by providing certification, promotion, information and resources that directly contribute to business growth. The Annual Procurement Conference provides opportunities for MBEs to connect with corporations who are looking to diversify their supply chain while also providing invaluable professional opportunity for business owners and corporate professionals.
This year’s conference will open with a keynote presentation from Nichol Luoma, Associate Vice President for University Business Services at Arizona State University (ASU). Luoma also serves as the Sustainability Officer and Chief Procurement Officer for ASU.
Also serving as a keynote presenter will be Debbie Fogel, Chief Financial Officer for the Institute of Supply Management. Fogel will speak on “Driving Value and Future Procurement Competitive Advantages.”

Participants will have the opportunity to earn CEHs for the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) C.P.M., A.P.P., CPSM® and CPSD™ professional designations, as well as the opportunity to take the (ISM) Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD™) Exam 2.
This year, the two-day event will also include the annual Supplier Diversity Excellence Awards. This year, the awards event, will take place on May 1, from 6-9 p.m. The theme is “A Night at the Oscars.”
